The role
With a great success in winning exciting utility solar farm projects in Vietnam, our client is looking to transit into the Asset Management phase and build their on-site O&M team based in Tay Ninh. The main purpose of the role is to look after the daily operations of the solar farm on site with the ultimate goal to maximise the generation and revenue. 2 – 3 roles are available and candidate with right management experience will be selected as the O&M Manager.
Key responsibilities
– Contributing to the testing and commissioning phase for the solar farm project.
– Setting up and executing the daily management of the solar farm operation, maintenance and safety regulations.
– Preparing full technical reports and documents, and filing of the O&M logs.
– Conducting and recording routine inspections of the solar farm.
– Carrying out equipment dusting for highest cleanness of the equipment, solar panels to ensure best output.
– Conducting routine inspection and checking on HV and LV cables and associated accessories, identifying potential faults or risks, generating and implementing resolution and improvement plans.
– Preventing theft to ensure long term safety in site properties and stable operations.
– Monitoring and reporting solar farm generations on a regular basis.
Requirements
– Bachelor Degree or above in Electrical, Power System, Electromechanical Engineering or similar.
– At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role before, ideally with proven experience and working knowledge in substation O&M, utility infrastructure testing and commissioning sectors.
– Holders of HV switching license and current Electrician license will be highly valued.
– Good level of English skills, especially in reading technical documents and reports.
– Working knowledge in control systems and communication protocols such as SCADA, PLC.
– Advanced user of MS Office Suites combined with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
– Physically strong, able to adapt to site works and willing to travel when required.
