Preferred Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/MBA Purpose of the Position We are planning to set up a renewable power plant with >100MW total capacity in one of the provinces of Vietnam. In this context, we would require a person with experience of 12-14 years in liaising with government & province to get clearances and permits etc. in the development stage of the project. In addition, we would need person to take care of some of the administrative activities as well as work closely with the local partner and ensure organization interest is protected. Principle Accountabilities 1. To develop strategic alliances and network with central government & provincial department, authorities, institutions for various activities of the renewable energy business in Vietnam 2. Develop long term business development and regulatory strategy for sustainable renewable energy business supported by diversified technology mix across wind and solar energy. 3. To work closely with the local partner during the initial development of the project and ensure that organization interest is protected 4. To do necessary follow ups for ensuring that the project activities and milestones are completed well within the time 5. Policy advocacy and representation in the concerned regulatory and government bodies for sustainable renewable business. Role & Responsibilities 1. Responsible for liaising with government authorities and local partners. 2. Keep track and ensuring timely completion of project development activities and milestones including document submissions and approvals 3. Troubleshooting with the nodal agencies on PPA related matters / settlements. 4. Keep track of government policy changes and act proactively in the best interest of AGEL. Requisite skills: 2. Business Liaising experience of 12-15 years in power or similarly regulated business in Vietnam Some administrative experience including requirement for business compliances / routine business activities + Behavioral: 2. Pro-active with Entrepreneurial mind-set 3. Collaborative and ability to lead team 4. Decisive + Physical Standard (if any) 1. Able to travel frequently 2.
