Job description
Ecoplexus, a renewable energy developer & independent power producer, seeks a project development analyst to support our VP of Development, Asia, who leads the development of the company’s renewable energy projects in Vietnam. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Your role is an critical component of Ecoplexus’s business in Vietnam. Responsibilities include:
• Perform opportunity assessments, business cases, and detailed economic, financial, and risk analysis on potential and committed projects in collaboration with management and external consultants.
• Collaborate with permitting, technical, legal, and financial teams to support the project development process.
• Develop targeting strategy to secure additional projects and land in collaboration with VP of Development, Asia and external consultants.
• Report on market conditions and create compelling market analysis presentations.
• Manage and maintain data rooms, project summary and tracking tools, and project files.
• Compile and maintain project development update reports as required by management.
• Other development and support activities as may be required by the Company.
Experience:
• Experience working with energy, land, and/or real estate developers a plus
• Strong background working with internal and external stakeholders
• Multinational company experience a plus
Qualifications:
• Strong analytical capabilities and grasp of project development and finance
• Knowledge of the Vietnamese renewable energy market, renewable energy equipment, and project finance
• Ability to work independently and creatively solve problems
• High level of professionalism with attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Superior time management and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Professional working proficiency in Vietnamese required; fluency a strong plus.
• Professional working proficiency in English required; fluency a strong plus.
Educational Background:
• Minimum BA/BS degree required, advanced degree an asset
• Completed courses in renewable energy will be considered positively
Travel: approximately 10-40%.
